High scores (Island Completion %) depend on "Compounding Upgrades." The pro secret is to prioritize "Axe/Pickaxe Strength" over everything else in the first 5 minutes. Higher-tier tools reduce the "Swing-to-Yield" ratio, allowing you to harvest enough resources to bridge to the next 3 islands in the time it would usually take to clear one, leading to an Exponential Growth Curve.
